- Book Intro
-
Class 2 of the fourth grade is holding a class president election. However, right before the fierce campaigning begins, the main character withdraws from candidacy. The reason for this is because the main character, Summer, is convinced to do so by Wang Mina. Mina tells Summer that if she helps her become class president then Mina will buy the whole class pizza from Summer's pizza shop. However, while Summer was helping Mi-na, she was confused due to the shallowness of Mina. Summer wondered to herself where it was okay to let such a selfish girl as Mina become the class president. Through Summer's questions and concerns, readers can contemplate the role and meaning of a class president while also realizing the meaning and value of elections.
