The Original History of Humanity
- 12,000 years of human history through the Middle Eastern lens
The Orient – Middle East region is the bed of civilization and a major axis of the 12,000-year history of mankind. However, the paradigm of generally understanding the traces of humans by the historical patterns of Western civilization has turned us ignorant of the history of the Orient-Middle East, which actually holds the roots of civilization. As a result, most of us remain unaware of the history and culture of this historical region and unknowingly follow and repeat an imbalanced and cut-off awareness when it comes to comprehending history.
The Original History of Humanity, authored by Korea’s most renowned Middle Eastern expert, Professor Lee HeeSoo, declares the regional history of the Orient-Middle East region as the original history- the roots of humans. It is Korea’s first masterpiece that takes readers through the 12,000 years of history connecting the ancient Anatolia civilization, the ancient Orient civilizations including the Hittite and Phrygia Kingdoms, Islam kingdoms after the 7소 century, and the rise and fall of the Osman and Mughal empires. The book is a new exploration of the core and root of human history as it lays out the history of the 15 empires and kingdoms of the Orient-Middle East region which birthed society as well as had an immense influence on the exchange between East and West as a “middle civilization.” Newly presented is the 12,000-year history of the “middle civilization” encompassing East and West, the main stage of human history where the seeds of the first civilization were planted.
