Gang Parang finds himself bewildered as he suddenly returns to the present day from the past. His mom tells him to live as an ordinary boy, just like she doesn’t know her past with the MSG intelligence information agency. Following his mom’s words, Parang tries to manage his ordinary school life and forget about the past. One day, a transfer student comes to his class. Ji-Hye is the daughter of Code Name I. Code Name I asks Parang to get along with his daughter, thanking Parang for having saved him from Cosmo in the past. One day, Parang and Ji-Hye get kidnapped by Cosmo’s men. Violet, Parang’s mother who was an MGS top agent in the past, goes into action to rescue the two children. Violet runs into danger while fighting her enemies when Code Name R appears and helps her escape danger. Parang becomes ashamed when he recognizes that Code Name R is his biological father. At that moment, Scarlet appears and tells him that he has to go to the future with her and fight against Ego. Parang says good-bye to his parents and enters the gate of time and space, which opens through Jjakkak-Jjakkak.

(English) Kang loves to doodle, daydream and goof around with his son, Parang. Kang began drawing as he drew comics and is now an author loved for all his work. The Codename series is a realization of Kang’s long imagined dream. Kang has illustrated for many story books and some of his own books include The unbelievable story, I’ll give you a flower, The snowstorm, The big fart, My Mom, Why x 100, etc. Kang received the Ragazzi award in the nonfiction category at the 2011 Bologna Children’s Book Fair for his work The unbelievable story.
