Book Intro

(English) Strange Collection from Anything Office

“Are you an ordinary person?”

Seven items, and seven unbelievable stories

There is a teenage girl who believes she is completely ordinary. One day, she sees a common recruitment board posting for a part-time job and walks up the stairs to arrive at a strange office. The name of the office is Anything Office. A man who introduces himself as the head of the office tells her to start working the next day. He also poses her a strange question: “Are you an ordinary person?” If you were the girl, how would you reply?

Strange Collection from Anything Office is a fantasy mystery growth novel in which a teen girl who has dropped out of school faces her  inner self that’s been hidden deep inside as she interviews people who undergo bizarre experiences at the Anything Office. This attractive omnibus story delves into grotesque desires and inner wounds and is even more impressive with its intense title and dreamy illustrations. The book was selected for young adult literature sharing by Arts Council Korea in 2021.
