(English) Welcome to the Great Wall
“My family runs a Chinese restaurant. My dad cooks and my mom delivers. While I’m in kindergarten, my grandmother learns Korean. Our menu is different from typical Chinese restaurants because my dad changed the order according to my grandmother’s tastes. One day, my dad changed the restaurant’s menu and sign. Now we are waiting for long-cherished guests.”
When someone who we believed would always be there leaves, we miss them even more. We feel a deep sense of emptiness when we can’t see their face or hear their voice again. Now, the remaining family members and neighbors decide to consider their longing as a new precious memory and an opportunity for a new start.
Lee Jung-Rok's friendly and sweet writing and Kim Yu-Kyung's warm and delicate illustration make the story even more palatable for readers. Now the Great Wall restaurant is waiting for you. The door to the Great Wall is wide open today. Welcome to the Great Wall! Are you ready for a bowl of delicious food?
