(English) I Want to Go on the Pogo Stick Too
*A book that embraces the hearts of children who want to play together as well as the world of children who grow up with happy imaginings.**
After stumbling across a pogo stick in the grass, the rabbit plays on it alone, jumping up and down. A fox secretly watches the rabbit before joining the fun by grabbing the rabbit’s tail. As soon as they change from “alone” to “together,” the pogo stick does not stop but jumps high up in the sky as if by magic. Soon, a monkey, a lion, a bear, and a blue squirrel also catch the tails of the others and ride on the pogo stick to travel to faraway places in an instant. But then something goes wrong. It starts to rain and the animals are on the edge of a cliff! What will happen to the animals on the pogo stick? I Want to Go on the Pogo Stick Too is a work that stands out for its concise text that is fun to read aloud and full of repeated catchphrases, and pictures drawn in lovely pastel colors. It invites children into a world of pleasant imaginings, enjoyably depicting the mind and world of a child reflected in the appearance of animals.
