Overview

This is a biographical story about the author, a prosecutor, and the eye-opening experiences and insights gained about people and the world while working at the Incheon Prosecutors' Office.

Book Intro

Kim Ung, who has been working as a prosecutor for 18 years, refers to himself as a living prosecutor. He tells a story that will be a revelation to those who have the preconceived notion that prosecutors are powerful figures at the center of society. Unlike in films and television dramas where the job is often glorified, prosecutors are in fact no different from ordinary workers, and the Prosecutors' Office functions essentially the same as a typical company. Naturally, some people seek the limelight and have greater ambitions such as political positions, but others, such as the author himself, don't feel that they fit into the organization. This variance in personalities is prevalent in any organization. Nevertheless, most people just keep silent and go about their work as a necessary part of their lives, and prosecutors are no different. This book recounts the arduous life of a prosecutor not often seen by outsiders.
