It is a completely revised version of The Beauty of Chinese Poetry, which was published in 15 years after the publication of the first edition in 1996. The Beauty of Chinese Poetry, which was started from an essay on writing of Chinese poetry by ancient poets, has established itself as a primer to Chinese poetry that explains the world of Chinese poetry using plenty of cases and also, as an advanced educational book that interestingly shows the beauty of Chinese poetry's various forms and a content analysis thereof.
This book has become an open text that makes the two topics of Chinese poetry and aesthetics useful, interesting, and appreciative by deeply and broadly exploring the aesthetical principles of poetry through Chinese poetry, which were not easily accessible even by professional researchers. This book has opened up a new chapter of reading classics easily and conveniently. It brought a sense of modernity to Chinese poetry buried in the dust of records and offered the public a closer view.
The author Jung Min who was a vigorous thirty-six-year-old scholar at the time of the publication of the first edition rewrote almost all the sentences for the completely revised edition.
