Books and life have structural similarities. As if pages repeat and then a book ends, life ends after repeating days. Inspired by this, the author worked this picture book about a bizarre door which has only an entrance, no exit repeating with endless. There are three sisters standing in front of the door and keep trying to open it. How could they make it? You can find who drew a line on the door whenever she opened it, which represents repetitive days. The overlapped lines turned out colours, and they went beyond the door.

Kyoungmi Ahn
She received the Incentive Award from Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival in 2018, and was selected
as this year’s illustrator at Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2015 and 2018. With ‘In front of the door’, she put her name on the list of AOA(the Association of Illustrators) World Illustration Awards Shortlisted in
Alternative Publishing section in 2021.
