Dancing on a long, narrow stage!
A chopstick cannot dance alone. This is because a chopstick dance is a dance to pick something up together. The author of this book doesn’t dance well, nor is she good at handling chopsticks. Even so, she shows us this wonderful chopstick dance. It’s alright not to be a good dancer as long as you dance with a partner.
Please look at your chopsticks from now on, and dance along with them. You might recognize that you have a wonderful pair of friends by your side. Then, how about dancing together?

A pair of chopsticks dances. The two chopsticks dance in time to the beat. The author, who isn’t skilled at handling chopsticks, wanted to make her dream of dancing with chopsticks on a stage come true in this picture book. That was how her first picture book was created. The author wants to be a writer who pays attention to the small, trivial things and grants special meaning to that which is not special.
