Engraved Letters with One's Heart, JIKJI hopes to tell a literary story of jikji to young readers who cannot otherwise see the original jikji. Based on the historical records that state how in the "third year of the reign of Goryeo's King Wu, Seokchan and Daljam created the movable metal type in Heungdeoksa Temple in Cheongju together with the support of Myodeok," the book attempts to recreate the lives of historical figures and in that regard, has enormous literary significance. Hopefully, this book will reach out to young readers and inspire in them a desire to learn more about jikji. And one day, the last remaining volume will be found so that jikji's global and cultural status can be elevated.
