Overview

This is a story of a child who sets out in search of her boots on a rainy day.

Book Intro

A child has been looking forward to a day he puts on his boots. The child opened the boot rack again and again before he goes out and asked his mom, dad, grandma, older and younger siblings.

“When will it rain?”

At last, it rains. The yellow drops dribble. The child stomps to the boot rack. With his heart pit-a-patting, he opens its door. Oh, the boots have vanished without a trace. What would you do?

The child, in this book, boldly hits the road to find his boots. His yellow, rubbery boots. He checks everything that looks like his yellow boots. He insists the flowerpots of various shapes, the toy train, and the slow snail are all his yellow boots. Everything he looks at appears to be his boots.

Maybe because it felt sorry for the child looking for his boots for a long time, an enormous dinosaur shows up beside him. Startled, he shouts,

“Go away! You are not my boots!”

The rain falls and other children wearing their yellow boots cheerfully enjoy the rain.

“Waah! Who took it? Bring me back my yellow boots!”

He bursts into tears at last.
This might help him find his own boots. Deep into the night, someone brings the yellow boots back, saying sorry. Oh, but look at this. The next day, the rain has stopped completely. Don’t worry. From now on, a new story begins. Look forward to the marvelous reversal awaiting for him.
