A Film Debuts Twice is a compilation of film reviews by film critic Lee Dong-jin from the past 20 years, starting with Velvet Goldmine released in 1999 to Parasite released in 2019. It contains 208 reviews spanning his 20-year career, including new reviews written specifically for this book. Going back in time from 2019 to 1999, this book looks back on Lee's 20 years of reviewing films, as well as 20 years of the film industry and the movie-going public.

The book reconstructs 208 reviews that were separated by time into a single chronology, allowing readers to turn to any page and naturally follow the timeline backwards and forwards to see the quilt of time woven together through cinema.
