Overview

A first-of-its-kind for children who dream of becoming an engineer, this series depicts the mysterious world of automotive engineering.

Book Intro

Chae-ri's hobby is collecting posters and miniatures of new cars and watching RC car races and racing games. She hopes to become a racer. After her dad gets into a car accident, however, Chae-ri's mom prevents her from doing anything related to cars. At an exhibition that she secretly attends, Chae-ri learns about and decides to participate in the most mysterious racing game competition in the world. Chae-ri and her best friend Han-ju perform the given missions in each of the three games. All racing takes place in virtual reality and feels almost like the real thing. The first mission involves the Benz Patent-Motorwagen, the world's first production car, while the second involves a modern taxi. The third involves an autonomous vehicle that can be driven both manually and automatically. Through virtual racing, the two friends learn everything about cars—how they’re driven as well as their construction, principles, history, and science—and about future automobiles. Excited, they dream of one day becoming automobile engineers.
