A story about a strange creature who overcomes adversities by being different from those around him.
- Book Intro
-
One day, while rolling around with their curled-up bodies, three pill bug siblings are met with the birth of a new pill bug sibling. But something's different about him. The three mischievous pill bug siblings just can't accept that their new sibling is bumpy instead of smooth like them. He can't stretch out his body, either. The three pill bug siblings eventually decide to throw their strange sibling down a pit without their father knowing. Kids work hard every day to achieve their dreams. Taking things one step at a time, they eventually come face to face with their grown-up selves. Their dreams may not be clear at first, but like a seed lying dormant in the ground, they will eventually sprout up and face the adversities of the seasons. In that same way, the dispirited bumpy creature in this story eventually grows up to be something special.
