Overview

This is a story about war games played by four elementary school boys that depict the honesty and sincerity in children.

Book Intro

This is a new picture book by internationally renowned writer Hwang Sunmi. It offers a realistic portrayal of friends who declare war on their bullies, preparing and waiting for the day of their decisive battle. These days, many children aren't even aware of the war games played by older generations, and parents hardly buy toy guns for their children. When this book was announced, however, boys used to gather in groups and shoot toy guns and play pretend-war. This is a painful picture created by the modern history of Korea, one of the handful of divided countries in the world.
