This book is about the story of Seon Young and In Chul, who are each other’s partners in class. The names of Seon Young and In Chul are very common enough to be found in every school. Likewise, the writer has focused on telling stories about ordinary children around us. The writer wanted to read the minds of numerous children like Seon Young and In Chul, who seem to be happy at school, if we do not try to understand how they really feel, and to calmly comfort their hearts. Seon Young and In Chul became each other’s partners in the 6th grade. The parents of both already got divorced or just got divorced. They accidentally got to know each other’s hidden stories, and they began comforting each other to keep the balance in their life.

Kim Soyeon
Kim Soyeon received The Grand Prize at The 11th Changbi Good Children’s Book for Creative Writing for her book Myunghye in 2007. Recently, she wrote the picture book Heartful Table and the youth short story Standing in the Square.
Many of Kim So-yeon’s works have been praised for weaving literature with historical and traditional cultural elements. Recently, she has expanded her literary spectrum into science fiction. Kim looks active and strong-minded, but she is actually shy and timid, just like Seung-Ah, a character in A Quarantined Child. In 2005, Kim received the grand prize with her novella Kkotsin at the Children’s Story Contest by the monthly magazine Children’s Hill. Since publishing in 2007 the full-length historical novels Myeong-Hye and Kkotsin, Kim has steadfastly written novels for children and young adults. Her works include children’s stories, such as “My Deskmate’s Secret,” and young adult novels, such as Seung-Ah’s Trouble, A Quarantined Child (co-written), Time Slip 2120, A Savage Street, Good-Bye Joseon, Standing in the Square (co-written), and Addicted to Robot (co-written).
