Witch hunting in Europe and America from the end of the middle age to the early of the modern times is considered as the worst tragedy in human history. The historic meaning of witch hunting is extinct already. However, the logic of witch hunting has continuously revived through thoughts and words of somebody. Witch hunting makes people hate each other, and divides the society. It is just like the great wall which prevents people from heading toward peaceful and beautiful society. In order to overcome the tragedy of witch hunting and to prevent its revival, we need to fully understand the mechanism of witch hunting. It would be more necessary theme to young teenagers than to adults, because teenagers are in the middle of deciding their thoughts and the direction of their lives. This book will take readers to the living characters and situations by reorganizing the historic characters and events related to witch hunting as a novel but based on various study results.

Lee Kyungdeok
Lee Kyungdeok studied Philosophy in university, acquiring the power to understand the world, and cultural anthropology at graduate school to find the truth of the world. He acquired his PhD in Mythology and Rituals at Hanyang University's School of Cultural Anthropology. He currently holds lectures about rituals, festivals, mythologies and economic anthropology at a university, and writes articles about culture. Books he has written include Western and Eastern Mythologies Around Us; Mythology, The Mirror of Our Era; The Path to Our Ancient History, The Heritage of the Three States; World Heritages of Korea Selected by UNESCO; and An Alien's Report on Humanity, and he has also translated several books, including Power of Thinking; Beyond Orientalism; World History from the Eyes of a Nomad; and Civilisation Grecque(3-book series).
