Okayama of Honshu in Japan is located in the right next to Hiroshima in the West, and also in the right next to the ocean in the South. Here, an elderly woman from Korea is still living in a small village in the seashore. She always sings while doing laundry of white diapers at her humble house located in the hill. “My hometown is the country with blossoming flowers~” She looks back to window, and sings and looks back to window again…… Why does this elderly woman, who is supposed to have finished caring a baby already, still wash and dry baby diapers? Who is there behind the window? Why does she keep looking back to window while singing? One day in spring, a Japanese girl named Yu-Mi has moved in this village. After befriending with this grandmother, Yu-Mi heard a story about ‘a Korean victim of radioactive exposure’. It was a story of a pregnant woman who came to Hiroshima to visit her husband taken as a compulsory laborer to Japanese arms manufactory, and then lost her husband from atomic bomb, gave birth to exposed baby, and raised the baby on her own. The grandmother named her daughter as ‘Chun-Hee’ because she was born in spring, and did her best raising and caring her daughter, but the exposed baby still has to lie down, and wear diapers. However, she still loves her beautiful daughter…… This is the story of a 43-year-old baby, Chun-Hee, who was taken to the hospital by the ambulance after shivering suddenly…… It was one of the saddest stories ever since Yu-Mi heard so far. On the next day, Yu-Mi told this story to her classmates, and they made promise. “Let’s play the song that the grandmother used to sing with pipes after visiting the hospital where Chun-Hee is staying this Sunday.”
