Overview

Book Intro

This story begins to be told by a narrator attracting readers just like the traditional silent film narrator. And in the illustration, readers can see Mr. Rabbit, the main character, drinking alcohol at a small pub. Through the tone of the narrator telling this old story and background illustrations of the past time, readers will be able to dragged into the world of this story. The story mainly consists of dialogues between Mr. Rabbit and Mr. Turtle. Mr. Rabbit tries to seduce Mr. Turtle with all kinds of sweet talks, but Mr. Turtle is very hesitant to start a new race. Mr. Rabbit suggests Mr. Turtle to compete in a fair way and he even removes the turtle’s heavy shell. However, until the very last moment, Mr. Turtle still hesitates to join the race. In the middle of the race, Mr. Rabbit feels a little easy enough to take a break, but Mr. Turtle who lost his shell cannot stand the cold weather. Mr. Turtle talks to Mr. Rabbit to get his shell back, but the rabbit ignores and heads forward and forward. How mean Mr. Rabbit is! However, the rabbit happens to fall into the pit. Suddenly it rains heavily and even thunders, and without knowing, the pit is getting filled with water. It’s Mr. Rabbit’s crisis. At that very moment, Mr. Turtle shows up. Both of them get fully tired after all in the rainy mountain. Now the best parts of this story come out in this section - humorous dialogues controlling the tension under the crisis and the solution that cannot be come up with easily. Likewise, this changeable story makes readers smile or sometimes nervous, and finally readers can feel the catharsis.

Quand j'étais jeune, on me disait souvent que j'étais distrait.
