Beginning with the definition and history of Atopic Dermatitis, included are the clinical manifestations of different age groups, characteristics and diagnostic methods with a lot of clinical images attached, to help in actual treatments. In the text, causes of disease such as genetic, innately/acquired immune causes and skin barrier malfunction, and introductions of the food antigen and inhalant that patients are interested in, are introduced. In the later half, described are the scientific background and using methods of atopic dermatitis from treatment to care such as local treatment, systemic treatment, insolation, allergen specific treatment and the latest developed method; biological therapy, in detail.

We met when we entered the field of Atopic Dermatitis and started to concern about the patients. We always exchanged informations and ideas whenever we met and this experience made us establish the Association of Atopic Dermatitis in 1999 and later The Korean Atopic Dermatitis.Association in 2000. We have been associating 26 specialists with a lot of clinical experience for almost 10 years to write a specialized book about atopic dermatitis.
