Overview

This is a story about breaking free from the pressure and obsession to be the same as others and learning to respect individuality and diversity.

Book Intro

At Butt School, they are having a farting class in which the teacher goes “toot!” and teaches children to do the same. Everyone in the class except Todung is able to fart the same sound. Only Todung goes “ding-dong!” The sound surprises his classmates, while the teacher becomes upset. However, unlike other days, the teacher also makes a different sound when farting. The class is filled with laughter and everyone starts to make their own fart sound. Everyone is having fun.

The story tells us that it is more important to stay true to your own colors and find harmony with others rather than try to be the same as other people. It gives children the message that listening to others and accepting their differences can make the world more harmonious.
