This story consists of seven stages, showing a wide range of the ecosystem of rocks from the ones we can easily see around us to space rocks.
In ‘Hello Rock,’ and ‘Nice to Meet You, Rock,’ we can think of how the rock looks with field trip stories and questions about rocks. “Curious Rock: shows kinds of rocks, materials in rocks, the principle of formation of rocks and gems. In ‘Amazing Rock’ we can see unique scenery of rocks which are deformed by water, wind and ice, limestone caves, rocks with holes and earthquakes, tsunami and the eruption of volcanos.
In ‘Think about Rock,’ categories of rocks based on methods of their formation such as igneous rock, metamorphic rock, sedimentary rock and rocks that fill the earth’s crust, mantle, core are explained. Also how to analyze materials in the earth, histories of human history written on the rock and space rocks that are floating throughout the universe. This book will provide an opportunity to understand rocks not as just rocks but from a wider perspective.
In the last chapter, ‘Let’s Enjoy the Rock,” readers can learn about fun activities using rocks or its powder and effective ways to manage mines, quarries, and stone mountains. By presenting a well-organized map that shows locations with unique rocks, it helps readers have a great family trip.

Shin Kwangbok
Shin Kwangbok studied Geology and Astronomy at Yonsei University and received his PhD in Science and Philosophy from Seoul National University. Shin had previously served as a chief editor and chief planner in the Book Publisher Seongwoo and a publishing manager in Donga Science, planning and creating various publications. Shin still writes while studying science and philosophy, to deliver proper and interesting stories of science to people. Books written by Shin Kwangbok include Space Exploration, I See Everything Differently!, Fun Stories of the Constellations and the Universe, What Is Science (Co-authorship,) and Rolling Rolling Rocks.
