I’ve become a bigger man through the process of falling and rising up again.
As a grown-up, I keep falling in the midst of numerous relationships. Every time I force myself to laugh, hold back my tears, or suppress anger by making a joke, I get hurt. Sometimes, painful memories from the past get me down. “Surely someone must have turned up the difficulty on my life,” I think to myself sometimes.
Yet, I’m not left with just wounds. Having been hurt myself, I can sympathize with other people in pain. Now that I can look around myself, I like myself better than before. In that way, I can slowly get up again.
Kim Sungwon’s past books such as What She Said and Love You, Love You Not explored the sparkling moments in life. In this book, he discloses his own pain for the first time. He delivers messages of consolation by sharing what he’s been left with after falling. This book is for those who have fallen, feel sad and depressed, and lack the courage to get up again.
