Ji-yu is swept away by a flood in her village and ends up in a strange forest. There, she meets Lulu, a strange creature that is neither a tree nor a fairy. Lulu has never been to the human world but has dreamed about it thanks to the writings left by his grandfather. However, his grandfather's tales contained stories that not even Ji-yu knew about.
Lulu finally gets the chance to visit the human world when he promises to take Ji-yu back home. When Lulu arrives, he learns about the dam that collapsed, causing the flood in Ji-yu's village. The dam was poorly made due to the greed of the adults, and some tried to hurt Jiyu and Lulu in fear that their secret would be revealed. Ji-yu and Lulu decide that they must right this wrong.
