Overview

A story about Annie, a pet pig who seems to have everything but suffers from anorexia.

Book Intro

Annie the pet pig is left a tremendous fortune by her owner, but her misfortune begins on the day he leaves her side. His son, Jack, wants nothing more than to take Annie's life and get his hands on what he considers rightfully his. Thanks to Jack, Annie starts to suffer from anorexia. Meanwhile, cats living in the slums have to wander the streets looking for food, but despite their hunger, they're happy to have each other.

While Annie becomes lanky due to a lack of love, the cats become scrawny due to a lack of food. Through the story of how Annie and the hungry cats meet and the dangerous adventures they experience together, Annie, the Lanky Pig shows readers how to find their own happiness and at the same time allows them to think about what their standard of happiness is.
