This is the first collection of short stories by South Korea's leading science fiction writer Kim Changgyu, who won three consecutive main prizes and two grand prizes at the SF Award, the only sci-fi award in Korea and hosted by the Gwacheon National Science Museum.
Along with the titular piece Our Banished World, the 2016 grand prize winner, Kim has collected works for more than ten years since his debut.

김창규
SF 작가이자 번역가. 동국대학교 전자공학과를 졸업했으며 2005년 <별상>으로 제2회 과학기술창작문예 중편 부문에 당선되며 데뷔했다. 이후 꾸준히 수준 높은 중단편을 계속 발표하며 한국 SF를 대표하는 작가로 성장했다. 2016년 수상작들을 모은 소설집 《우리가 추방된 세계》를 펴냈고, 장편소설 《태왕사신기》가 있다.
옮긴 책으로 《이중 도시》, 《유리감옥》, 《영원의 끝》, 《뉴로맨서》 등 다수가 있다. 2014년 제1회 SF어워드 중단편 부문 대상, 2015년 제2회 SF어워드 중단편 부문 우수상, 2016년 제3회 SF어워드 중단편 부문 대상, 2017년 제4회 SF어워드 중단편 부문 대상을 받으며, 4회 연속 본상 수상이라는 전무후무한 기록을 남겼다. - Selection
