"I'm bored. Bored. I'm so bored! Someone play with me!"
The puppy says, pouting.
Then, he has a good idea! Hide-and-seek!
The main character, a puppy, complains that he is bored and asks readers to play with him. The puppy has an idea. It suggests the reader play hide-and-seek with him. As if urging the reader on, the puppy's paw points to where the reader can flip the page. Hiding behind a leaf, the puppy reveals its face through gaps in a leaf. Though it is visible, the puppy believes it has chosen an excellent hiding spot. It teases the reader, asking, "can you see me?" and saying. "I bet you won't be able to find me." The puppy's naive confidence, like that of children who believe they are well hidden as long as their face cannot be seen, makes the reader laugh.
There is a twist at the end of the story. It's that the puppy was actually the character printed on the rain boots all along! The reader can interact with the bored little puppy and actively take part, playing with the puppy while watching the puppy change. The readers will learn the joy of "playing together" as opposed to "playing alone," and will figure out how to have fun in a healthy, enjoyable way.
