This is after mass killing of animals due to infectious diseases such as foot-and-mouth disease and bird flu. The author, a photographer, searches for 4,799 burial sites and finds the voices of animals that have been sealed deep in the ground. He thought the fiercely about how to prevent and cope with livestock infectious diseases, and how to kill them, and sought solutions. Then he included a story in a book with photographs of his experience documenting the burial ground for killing.
