The happy parenting method has opened up a new world for tens of thousands of mothers!
Parents’ assistance can help ensure that children get the best sleep possible on their own!
Parenting becomes happy when children sleep well.
After receiving her master’s degree from MIT, Rory (Kim Jun-hee) started her career at a financial company in Korea. In 2011, she gave birth to her first daughter, Eun-gyro, and entered motherhood just as she’d planned. She had previously been highly successful at work, but as a mother, she faced an incomparably tougher job that left her at her wits’ end.
She was solely in charge of looking after her daughter, which was a huge burden on her! It was a world she’d known nothing about before. Nothing came close to the hardship of parenting, neither the junglelike world of work in which she had desperately struggled since the age of twenty-four, nor the master’s dissertation that she’d had such a tough time completing!
However, she bravely gave birth to her son, Yeon-woo. She thought raising two children would be even tougher. To her surprise, after she gave birth to her second child, the paradigm of parenting changed, and she began to find a happy parenting method. This book is based on the author’s direct experience of raising two children for four whole years, the many hardships she endured on her own, and the true happiness she’d found in the midst of everything as well as her indirect experience acquired from reading hundreds of books on parenting and extensive research.
The author began sharing her stories with other mothers through a portal site called Naver in 2014, and received highly enthusiastic responses. Within a month, she was awarded the New Writer’s Prize and gained over 20,000 readers. In response to the barrage of questions she received, she set up an online community. This book brings together expertise from infant specialists who have looked after thousands of babies for over ten years and Rory’s know-how and information about happy and lazy parenting based on her own four-year-long struggle with her two children. In addition, the book offers lively discussions and stories from thousands of other mothers.
