Эта иллюстрированная книга познакомит вас с корейской традиционной мебелью из дерева. Символическое значение анималистических узоров из полевого шпата, которыми украшают такую мебель, раскрывается при помощи выразительных средств корейской народной живописи ‘минхва’. В книге представлены тринадцать животных, среди которых бабочки, символизирующие пожелание теплоты и нежности в супружеских отношениях, и журавли, символизирующие пожелание долголетия.

 

(English) Wishes

Wishes is a picture book that introduces Korean traditional furniture. Korean traditional furniture uses animal-shaped ornaments to express various wishes. Wishes explains the meanings of animal-shaped ornaments used in Korean traditional furniture, referring to beautiful Korean folk paintings. Including butterflies for a harmonious marital relationship and cranes for a long life, this book introduces 13 animal ornaments, including the rooster, dragon, turtle, carp, heron, deer, duck, sparrow, phoenix, and bat, explaining the different wishes each one represents.    

About the Author

Choi Eunmi



(Russian) Художник-иллюстратор Чхве Ынми родилась в Сеуле и окончила кафедру прикладного искусства Сеульского женского университета. К работе над иллюстрированными книгами её привело желание познакомить как можно больше людей с красотой корейской традиционной культуры. Её книга «Сказание о Сим Чхон» завоевала Корейскую премию в области детской литературы в 2004 году и поощрительную премию конкурса Noma (Noma Concours for Picture Book Illustrations) в 2005 году.

 

(English) Choi Eunmi was born in Seoul and studied artistic craft at Seoul Women's University. She is currently working as an illustrator. Choi decided to be a picture book writer to share traditional Korean beauty with many readers. Her picture book, Simcheongga, won the 2004 Korean Children's Book Prize and the 2005 NOMA Concours Encouragement Prize.
