- Overview
-
The process that a GOOD child named "Candy" is looking for her true self.
- Book Intro
-
Candy was raised to believe that becoming a good girl would somehow alleviate her younger brother’s efforts on devilry. One day, she is surprised to hear her shadow tell her to express her anger and rebuke her younger brother. Eventually, she succeeds in reprimanding him for his devilry; and becomes a happier child. This picturebook depicts children as sentient beings who are able to think about themselves and understand their inner thoughts. Parents, in turn, must exert efforts in developing good
attitudes in their growing children.
- About the Author
-
Choi Dukkyu
I studied fine arts at Seoul National University and have published some comic books as well. Since I started reading picturebooks to my child, I fell into the world of picturebooks. I really envy the children's unimaginative imagination whenever I work on creating picturebooks. I act out one of my picturebooks, ‘I am a Monster’, in the theater adaptation. I want to put my mind to everything in the world that I see and feel, from small animals to small stones, through picturebooks. I have also worked as an author-illustrator on my representative books titled ‘House Swimming House’ and ‘What Are You Doing, Turtle?’.
