Overview

Every family has a bad period of time, but few are worse than the one appearing in this novel by author Jeon A-ri.

Book Intro

Jeon A Ri, who won the World Youth Literature Award in 2008 at the age of 22, has continued to create literary works based on her unique style of writing. After establishing herself in the literary world with smoothly flowing narratives, concrete sentences, and sensitivity that captures the mind of many contemporary readers, Jeon published her 10th novel revolving around the theme of “family.”

What Happened to Our Family? tells the story of a family in which members with different personalities and characters live together under family tradition yet with their doors locked in silence. Jeon depicts how the family deals with the spread of the oldest daughter’s video on the Internet in a humorous way while delicately portraying a mixture of emotions such as love, hate, and sorrow, which they have secretly harbored in the recesses of their minds.
