Park Ju Young’s Snow on a Quiet Night was the winner of the 6th Honbul Literary Award, which was established to recognize the literary achievements of Choi Myeonghee, the author of the novel Honbul. Park won the 30st Writer of Today Award for her first novel The Life of a Good-for-Nothing published in 2006. In Snow on a Quiet Night, D, an unregistered child who has an identical sister, searches for her psychiatrist sister who has gone missing. X, who gains consciousness in a hospital with his memories of the past 15 years mysteriously gone, begins to live the life of a spy, controlled by someone he does not know.
X has even lost memories about what kind of life he had and what kind of spy he was. Now, he’s trying to find his identity. Y, who is employed in the same spy firm as X, is assigned to play as one of X’s university friends. Y is occupied with her work and thinks of her mission and the opportunities for advancement even during vacation. B is an executive at the firm. He praises himself with the idea that he was a spy who had always fought for justice, and thinks that young spies nowadays are selfish. The novelist Z, who has been carving out a living by receiving government aid, ends up starting a part-time job. The spies keep their eyes on this obscure writer, and Z is invited to join a mysterious book club.
