This is a story about date violence that a victim has difficulty talking about.

This book records the voices and the experiences of the victims’ date violence. A series that began on Instagram drew explosive attention from its followers, numbering about 100,000 or more. The cartoon website marked one hundred and twenty thousand clicks in the beginning of its serialization. The author is the actual victim of date violence and she shares her traumatic experience of obsession and control, persistent stalking, repeated abusive language, and battery.
The author resorted to every measure to free herself from the never-ending cycle of abuse and apology but could not stop the wrongdoer. The current law cannot prevent the offender or protect the victim; instead it was solely the author’s responsibility to stop and avoid him. She tells her story with composure while bringing to light the severity of date violence. At the same time, she asks people to refrain from saying things that they might think as “comforting” but in effect is hurtful to the victim. She also sends out a message that the victims of date violence should not shun herself, and that there are many women like herself who would like to neglect their pain. She hopes her book can make them offer solace to each other.
