Currently, the refugee crisis is the biggest issue of the international community. Terrorism-related news fills the airwaves each day. Experts predict that European society will face major crises unless the refugee problem is fundamentally solved. This book explores the causes of conflict surrounding Syrian, Kurdish, African, Tibetan, Ukrainian, and Chechnyan refugees. The book deeply examines major issues related to ISIS, Turkey, the United States, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Syria, while also introducing topics covering human rights, human trafficking, and exploitation of migrants by the Sicilian mafia.
According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, more than 50 million people worldwide have left their homes due to war. In such a situation, we cannot solve the problem by blaming countries that are trying to expel refugees. The fundamental solution would be to ensure that refugees return to their homelands safely. Before that, however, the gaps between nations must be reduced, and the international community must share the burden. The author of this book looks forward to contributing to the interests of the international community for a peaceful world in which refugees can lead gratifying lives.
Until now, we've only viewed disputes in the Middle East and many other countries as political and human rights issues, mainly from a Western perspective. However, the author analyzes the causes of conflicts from various perspectives such as religion, historical origin, and the dark side of international politics. The book is written in a manner that makes it approachable even by readers who do not possess basic knowledge of international issues. The author's coverage of these issues is his mission to get closer to the truth. This book includes several interviews with refugees and stakeholders, providing a pathway to a deeper understanding of the situation.
