1 The question that grows more pertinent with time, "How will you live?"
"How will you live?" It is a question applicable to any person of any age, but Rhyu Si-min believes that it is of special meaning and value for those who want to live their lives steadfastly, especially in the "era of mental breakdown." Many have been hurt and worn out, leading to the "healing craze."
The book does not preach or call for responsibility. He does not talk about new ideas or ideologies to change the world. He also does not intend to criticize or comfort anyone. He simply reflects on his own life and talks about how to view and deal with the joys and pains of life, the injustices and absurdities of the world. This book interprets the physical and mental aspects of our lives, such as life and death, individuals and society, freedom and common good, progress and reward, belief and tolerance, desire and dignity, love and responsibility, and passion and talent, each. It also looks deeply into the ideas that govern our thoughts and behavior, reflecting on human dignity, the dignity of life, the meaning of life, and what we miss out on in the whirlwind of everyday life.
2 Play, work, love and build solidarity!
The author, Rhyu Si-min, summarizes the four most important elements of life as "play, work, love and unite." He says that the idea that it is best to satiate one's desire is not as perfect as the idea that a better social system and living environment woul bring a happy life. Work, play and love are the three great things of life. The desire for social solidarity based on empathy with others is just as much a part of human nature as the desire for work, play and love. Selfishness and altruism are not just opposing emotions. We cannot live a happy and meaningful life without either. Rhyu Si-min defines "solidarity" and "Progressivism" in a unique way.
