Overview

This book takes a close look at various issues of discrimination that take place in our society, and discusses ways to resolve them.

Book Intro

This book takes a look at the various forms of discrimination that take place in our society. Discrimination against refugees, the handicapped and sexual minorities as well as that against men and women, children, full-time and part-time workers is introduced in this book. It also brings up the discrimination caused by economic disparity, physical appearance, single-parent households, animals, and many other aspects within our society, to outline a new perspective on human rights.

In order to help children accept and understand discrimination as an issue that they must care about, this book employs the form of a letter written by a mother. It also introduces various stories in life that add further realism to the issue.

This book hopes that it will be able to teach children how they themselves, their parents, their siblings and their friends are facing discrimination, and it also hopes it will be able to guide them to think about ways to resolve discrimination issues.
