Overview

This is a delightful and humorous fantasy story for brothers and sisters who are always at each other's throats.

Book Intro

It's unfair being the oldest, it's unfair being the youngest.

"I really hate that child so, so, so much!"

Do Riji, Do Remi. Unusual, given their names, the two siblings, born within a year of one another, fight and fight until it's time to go to bed like most other siblings. The oldest, Riji, hates her little sister Remi who was born cute and gets more attention. Riji, who gets punished by her parents because of her sister, even when she does nothing wrong, is very angry and upset.

One day, Riji writes “My Sister is Garbage” in her notebook over and over again until her hand hurts because she is upset at Remi. But what's going on? The next day, her sister Remi turns into 10 liters of trash. The struggle of Riji as she tries to return her sister to her original form is exciting.

Riji wants her sister to return to her original form, so she gives her a clout with her knuckles. Riji does not even like to walk normally, but now she climbs up Hope Mountain carrying a pile of garbage on her back to pray on the rock of hope. Riji is happy thinking about the slush she will eat instead for her sister's rice burger, and Remi is worried about her sister eating candy alone, even in trash form. Following the steps of the two sisters, who are like a cat and a dog to the end, readers can feel in their hearts the affection they have for each other, which has greatly changed. Through the process, the two find out that they are jealous of each other because they both thought their mom and dad liked the other one better. This brings a sense of relief and comradeship. The process of feeling and learning what they did not know becomes an opportunity for them to understand each other.

This book is not similar to many existing stories of siblings, but is a fascinating piece that has been told honestly and boldly to suit the taste of children these days.
