Overview

This book is a fun and pleasant lesson on the importance of using kind or bad words wisely, as best suits the situation.

Book Intro

If you are the parent of a child who is just starting to learn to speak, you will want your child to say pretty and nice words. So there are many books that teach "pretty words" and "nice words" for children at that age. But should "bad words," with negative or not-so-good meaning, never be spoken? Of course, it's not good to grumble or become cross without properly considering the situation. But as a child goes through life, there will be moments when "bad words" are necessary in order to reject burdensome things or get out of unfair situations. A child needs to have the courage to use "bad words" as a means of protection.

This kind of moment also comes up in the "Horse World," where good and bad horses live together. A trio of bad horses speak only bad words all day long until the good horses cannot stand it any longer and start avoiding and hiding from them. So the bad-mouthed trio leave the Horse World. But a long time later, they reappear to save the good horses, who are being bullied by the Cloud King. Afterwards, the good horses learn how to speak bad words and the bad horses learn how to say good words, and they live together. This book tells readers that it is important to use good and bad words wisely, as best fits the situation, through an amusing story.
