Overview

Seven different writers tell funny stories about 6th grade elementary school students whose school life is sometimes wonderful, but sometimes tough!

Book Intro

The fairy tale writers who wrote this book met many children while giving lectures and some of the children said, "Why is there no fairy tale for 6th grade elementary school students? Please make a book with our stories." The authors did write a book to make their wishes come true because fairy tale writers always care about children's wishes.

They first thought about what 6th graders would have in mind. For elementary school students, 6th grade is the transition period from childhood to adulthood. When they finish their 6th year and graduate elementary school, they are no longer children. That is somewhat exciting, but at the same time scary and burdensome. Besides, as children go to middle school as soon as they graduate elementary school, they don't have much time to prepare. With so many real worries about making new friends and studying, becoming a middle school student feels as hard as climbing a rugged mountain. That's why the seven writers decided to choose genres and topic they could do best to create this wonderful book for 6th graders.

Published after such a long process, this book makes the greatest gift for those who will enter 6th grade soon, those who are already in 6th grade, and those who will finish 6th grade soon. The main characters of this book are Oh Jeongguk, who graduates elementary school isolated from other students because of Bullshit  syndrome, which is only experienced by 6th grade students; Baek Chorim, who at last experiences the first love confession of his life; Wu Geonyeong, who receives an invitation from the universe before graduation; Kim Mijin, who happens to get in a fight with a senior from the middle school she's going to enter on the day before her gradation; Oh Jinsang, who meets a real ghost in the school's lavatory; Lee Yeonu, who now has an awkward relationship with a best friend, and Jo Ara, who can't make a genuine smile because she has been bullied for six years.

As readers follow the stories of the seven 6th grade students, they will feel less nervous and anxious about their future and get the strength to move forward.

At the end of the book, there is a special page full of heart-warming, genuine messages from the eight authors (writers, cartoonists, and illustrators) to 6th grade elementary students.
