Overview

This picture book is composed of maps of Africa that are easy to understand and full of fun images.

Book Intro

The maps in this picture book show unique images of Africa, enough to foster interest in maps over signs and scales. The maps appear repeatedly, so readers will soon get used to them. It starts with a map of the entire continent, followed by section maps of north Africa, west Africa, central Africa, east Africa and south Africa, and maps of individual countries in each section. Also, key images for each country provide a snapshot into the continent, helping readers understood more readily and remember for a long time. As the information from the main text is repeated and re-grouped under interesting themes such as festivals, famous people, resources, animals, architects, agriculture, cities and natural disasters, readers can further solidify their understanding of the African continent.
