The maps in this picture book show unique images of Africa, enough to foster interest in maps over signs and scales. The maps appear repeatedly, so readers will soon get used to them. It starts with a map of the entire continent, followed by section maps of north Africa, west Africa, central Africa, east Africa and south Africa, and maps of individual countries in each section. Also, key images for each country provide a snapshot into the continent, helping readers understood more readily and remember for a long time. As the information from the main text is repeated and re-grouped under interesting themes such as festivals, famous people, resources, animals, architects, agriculture, cities and natural disasters, readers can further solidify their understanding of the African continent.

Jeon Hyunjeong
Jeon Hyunjeong (F) was selected as one of four members for the South Pole Experience Group in 2017, which celebrated the 30th anniversary of Antarctic King Sejong Station. She won the 19th Golden Goblin Award with Eurachacha Chubby Club, and has written many books for children.
Koo Eunsun
Koo Eunsun (F) works as a freelance illustrator in various fields such as publication and advertising while grabbing people's attention with her stylish screen composition and excellent sense of color. She has written and illustrated for a travel book, Paris in April, and illustrated the books Kimchi Is the Best and I Should Have Listened to My Mother.
