This is the story of a boy who is the lone-survivor of a high school shooting. On the day after the 1-year commemoration ceremony of the incident, the boy spends the day wandering around outside the school.
After the incident, "I" have become excluded from everything at my house and school. It feels like my life itself has become an outsider.
Everyone the boy meets is a stranger, but every one notices his school uniform and talks about the incident and the commemoration ceremony. I feel burdened from their attention and I also feel guilty of being the only survivor. I even feel a bit like a partner in crime with the assailant, K.
Inside the mind of a boy filled with anxiety and confusion due to the intersection of life, death and desire, the memories of the shooting and the assailant K resurface from the vague boundary between consciousness and unconsciousness. In the boy's monologues about the meaning of life, we can find the irony of human existence.
