Through Suji, who views the world with her heart rather than her eyes and ears, readers learn how to face themselves as they are.

Book Intro

The 19-year old Suji cannot hear, but she has never felt unfortunate. Using a unique sign language, she was able to have perfect conversations with her mother, and she could create every sound in the world in her imagination. But with a cochlear implant, everything changed. Amidst the transition from a completely silent world to an unfamiliar world filled with incomplete noises, Suji prepares her next step for getting used to things. Through Suji, who views the world with her heart rather than her eyes and ears, readers learn how to face themselves as they are.
