Korean society is in an era when understanding and practicing equality, respect and consideration are being demanded more than ever. With the rise of feminism, most Koreans are trying to improve their gender sensitivity. This is a comic from the couple Sin Hyewon, a picture book writer, and Lee Eunhong, a comic artist, who are well-known for being an equal couple. The story features a couple who began as an equal man and woman dreaming of an equal married life but face difficult realities that trigger them to say, "Equality is garbage!" By presenting the conflicts people experience in their daily lives, the story showcases gender equality issues that a couple cannot fix easily but can only be resolved through change and innovation in the overall society. This allows readers to look into less commonly seen social irony by reaching beyond salient gender conflicts.

Lee eunhong
(Indonesian) Lee Eun Hong lahir di Jeonju Provinsi Jeonbuk pada tahun 1960 dan menyelesaikan s1 jurusan lukisan bergaya oriental Hongik University. Selama ini, dia sudah menggambar kartun kritik berjudul ' berita sejarah jilid 1-6', 'berita sejarah dunia'. Saat ini merupakan anggota dari 'kumpulan persaudaraan untuk mengembangkan komik Korea' dan sedang menerbitkan komik kritik yang lain yaitu 'dunia pekerja', 'mata air persatuan'.
(English) Lee Eunhong was born in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, in 1960 and studied Oriental Painting at Hongik University. He worked on the editorial cartoon History Newspaper Book 1-6. He is currently a member of the Union for Developing Korean Cartoons, and is working on the editorial cartoons Labor and the World and Unification Spring.
Shin Hyewon
(Indonesian) Sin Hye Won lahir pada tahun 1964 di Euisong Provinsi Gyeongbuk dan lulus s1 lukisan bergaya barat di Ewha womans university. Buku yang sudah ia terbitkan antar lain ' air mata tuhan', 'anak yang tumbuh sendirian', 'Kkaebi Kkaebi goblin sungguhan', 'gunung yang terkunci di kencing'. dll.
(English) Summer is in full bloom in the garden of the author's parents. The summer hidden here and there in the shade is a small, great, beautiful world. The author published her first picture book, My Summer, so that readers can feel the luxuriance of the green plants and cooling shade.
