Selected as Illustrator of the Year at the 2018 Bologna Children's Book Fair and chosen for Support Project for Excellent Publishing Contents by Publication Industry Promotion Agency of Korea in 2017.
In this picture book, Red, numerous images of the color red are uniquely translated and expressed wittily by the author. Lee Sun-ok classifies red into five feelings: outstanding red, hot red, dangerous red, joyful red and red wriggling inside our body.
It really does seem that all the senses of red can be expressed using the five feelings.

Giải thưởng Tác phẩm dự án hỗ trợ sáng tác Nội dung xuất bản xuất sắc của Cơ quan Xúc tiến công nghiệp xuất bản Hàn Quốc năm 2017
Cuốn sách ảnh “Màu đỏ” là cuốn sách miêu tả một cách dí dỏm về nhiều khía cạnh khác nhau được thể hiện trong những sắc màu khác biệt của mùa đỏ theo cảm nhận riêng của tác giả.
Trong cuốn sách này, tác giả Lee Soon-ok chia màu đỏ thành năm cảm xúc khác nhau và bày cho chúng ta thấy.
Màu đổ nổi bật, màu đỏ nóng bỏng, màu đỏ nguy hiểm, mày đỏ tươi vui, màu đỏ trào dâng trong cơ thể chúng ta.
Nếu bạn thực sự có năm điều này, bạn có thể biểu hiện được hết tất cả cảm xúc của màu đỏ.

絵本「赤」は赤色から発せられる数多くの姿を作家ならではの感性で選び、面白く表現した本です。Lee Sun-ok作家はこの本を通じて、赤を5つの雰囲気に分けて私たちに見せてくれます。目を引く赤、熱い赤、危険な赤、楽しい赤、私たちの体の中でうごめく赤。本当にこの5つさえあれば、赤をすべて表現できそうです。

Lee Sun-ok
(English) Lee Sun-ok majored in Cartoon Arts and Literature and works as an illustrator and picture book writer. She illustrated a science picture book in which the little prince appears, because she likes science and the little prince. She was selected as Illustrator of the Year at the 2017 and 2018 Bologna Children's Book Fair for her two picture books, The Opposite Pigs and Red, respectively.
(Japanese) ハンコはなぜ赤色で捺すのだろうか？この疑問が二作目の絵本「赤」を誕生させました。幼いころから私の心の中には数多くの疑問がカケラのように散らばっていました。もしかすると死ぬまでその答えを見つけられないだろうものもたくさんあります。しかし、私にとってこの疑問は大切なものです。たとえ答えを得られなくても、私の心の中で疑問がひとつずつうごめくたびに、また新たな絵本が生まれると信じているからです。
(Vietnamese) Tại sao con dấu lại được có màu đỏ? Sự tò mò này đã dẫn đến sự ra đời của cuốn sách ảnh thứ hai <Red>. Ngay từ khi tác giả còn là một đứa trẻ, rất nhiều câu hỏi đã rải rác như những mảnh vụn trong tim tôi. Có rất nhiều điều có thể cho đến lúc bạn qua đời cũng sẽ không được giải đáp nhưng tác giả đánh giá cao những điều này. Ngay cả khi không nhận được câu trả lời, tác giả tin rằng khi một ngày nào đó, một câu hỏi đặt ra trong tâm tưởng và một cuốn sách ảnh mới có thể lại ra đời.
(Russian) Художник-иллюстратор Ли Сунок изучала литературу и исскуство карикатуры и сейчас занимается созданием иллюстрированных книг для детей. Она любит науку и «Маленького принца», поэтому проиллюстрировала книгу по науке, персонажем которой является Маленький принц. Среди оригинальных произведений автора – иллюстрированные книги «Свинья – не свинья» и «Красный», за которые она была удостоена титула «Иллюстратор года» на Международной ярмарке детской книги в Болонье в 2017 и в 2018 годах.
(French) En tant qu’illustratrice et écrivaine, elle illustre les albums de science où le petit prince paraît parce qu’elle aime la science et le petit prince. Ses albums créatifs, cochons opposés et Rouge ont été mentionnés en étant sélectionnés en tant qu’illustrateur de l’année 2017 et 2018 aux prix Bologna.
