This story grew from a question: “How can a motherless child go to a bathhouse?” The sense of loss and emptiness that someone feels when they don’t have a mother can’t be easily filled by those around them. But the courage and confidence to overcome such loneliness hides inside all of us. The problem is finding those hidden emotions and making them stronger.
Octopus Bathhouse is a picture book that delivers a message of courage: “You can do it all by yourself. You are never alone.” This book invites motherless, fatherless, and friendless children, and anyone else who feels they are alone, to come to the Octopus Bathhouse and play cheerfully together.
