The main characters in We Are Family are pets. Turtles, parrots, hedgehogs, fish, guinea pigs, cats, and dogs--many pets are featured in this story, and they each introduce their own families. Each pet has its own name given to it by its family, and they each live with their respective families. In the pet families, there is no discrimination between human and animal. Through these everyday stories in which animals are accepted as members of the family and collectively live happy lives, we also think about the meaning of a family and what its value is. We can also come to realize the value of the lives around us and the true meaning of the pets that share their lives with us.

Park Dasom
(English) Park Da-Som majored in visual design at Sungkyunkwan University. She started illustrating children’s books after she became fascinated by children’s stories. She has illustrated A Magic Stick, I Envy Chaewook, A Seed That Went to the Library, Chasers of Giant Octopus, On-Dal Who Kicked a Pot, and A Note Fight. She has also illustrated a collection of poems, Great People in Korean History and a collection of essays titled A Human Becomes a Human by a Human.
(Chinese) 在成均馆大学完成了视觉设计专业的学习。机缘巧合地陷入童话的魅力，并开始绘制插图。曾为童话书《魔法棍子》、“去了图书馆的种子”等作画，还为童诗集《令韩国光芒四射的人们》及随笔《人通过人而成为人》创作过插图。
