Overview

This book is a magical story about what happens to one very shy girl.

Book Intro

Whenever Yewon stands in front of people, her face turns red. She finds it difficult to talk to her classmates. One day, she gets a tube of magic lipstick, which brings about some special changes. When she puts on the lipstick, she can express her thoughts fluently. She becomes popular among her classmates. However, the more she talks, the more she blurts out something unintentionally. Just like Mina, Yewon's least favorite classmate, she ends up hurting others by saying something thoughtless. Will the magic lipstick help Yewon get along better with her classmates?

We say a lot of things every day. In addition to daily conversations, we sometimes say things to move people's hearts. With a single word, you can help someone in a predicament or make a fatal mistake. The power of language is enormous. That's why we must think carefully before we speak.

In A Magic Lipstick, Yewon gains friends through talking, but loses them because of her words. Children quickly pick up words from grownups. These days, the rising popularity of social networking services and talk shows means people pay more attention to glib talkers. We need to consider the weight of words. A Magic Lipstick will help children think more carefully about what they say.
