Overview

This book is a story about a child obsessed with games.

Book Intro

Capture the Monsters! is a story about a child obsessed with games. Ji-min likes playing games so much that he thinks about them even during meals. Many times, his mother has caught him playing games without permission and scolded him. But Ji-min can't give up. One day, he comes home from school and finds the house empty. He turns on his game console right away. To his surprise, his mother is inside the game! Frightening monsters threaten his mother. Is she going to be okay?

The spread of smartphones has brought games closer to us. Without even switching on a computer, we can enter the fantastical game world at the flick of a finger. Children and grownups alike easily become captivated by games. There must be many parents who enjoy games behind their children's backs. Perhaps, some of them are master players like Ji-min's mother in Capture the Monsters!

Grownups habitually say "No!" to children. Sometimes, they hurry children saying "Get it done quickly!" Children are not given enough time to understand what they must and mustn't do and why. As a result, the words of their parents start to sound like nagging. Why not try and do something with your children? Wouldn't it be more fun and exciting to play games and study together?
